Search Manager (m/f/d)

Your role:

  • As Search Manager (m/f/d) you align with different stakeholders like the Product Owner (m/f/d) of the Search Team as well as the business partners and the Content Manager (m/f/d)
  • In close collaboration with the stakeholder groups you discuss priorities and queries to work on, focusing on ways to leverage the business via the search engine as well as ways to optimize the product data content for the search
  • You interpret search KPIs and conceptualize improvements for dashboards as well as improvements for the search relevance model
  • You identify patterns for generic query solutions and manage search rules
  • To ensure a smooth operation you identify bugs and problems in the search setup

Your profile:

  • Successfully completed degree in (business) informatics, business administration or a comparable course of study, ideally with an affinity for IT
  • Proven technical or analytical background  
  • Strong in interpreting and communicating metrics, background in working data-driven  
  • Adept in managing IT systems end-to-end (from stakeholders to engineers)  
  • Basic knowledge about search engines (e.g. Solr, Elasticsearch) or search management (e.g. maintaining synonyms, boosts, score decomposition) is a big plus  
  • Basic SQL or regular expressions skills are a big plus  
  • Strong management and communication skills, strong analytical thinking and a pragmatic way of working
